Laura and I donated blood today, first time that I'd ever done that. It was pretty much what I expected. Fill out the questionaire, talk to someone, get hematocrit tested, bleed into a bag. The donation bus was a happy place, and having phlebotomists, instead of just nurses, was great. They knew exactly which vein was best and didn't have to stick me a few times to find it. Woo! Maybe I'll get in the habit of donating, hmmm. Sarah |

So appearantly my comments don't work! Why did no one tell me this? But I also don't know how to fix them... have to wait on that for a bit I suppose. Sarah |

One of the girls in my Spanish class has epilepsy, which most of us already knew. But this last Wednesday she unfortunately had a gran mal seizure. It was a little terrifying at first, she looked and sounded like she was in a lot of pain, which she very well may have been on some level. However interesting and terrible the seizure was, I thought the best part of it all was seeing this class of 15 or so students, from all walks of life and all ages, come together to help this one girl. Everyone was very worried about making sure she didn't fall down, and then laying her down when it was over and turning her head so she wouldn't aspirate, getting damp paper towels to wipe her face and cool her forehead. The paramedics were called and, again, everyone was helpful with what had happened, what her last minor seizure had been like and when, how long this one had lasted, and where her phone and medications where. I must admit it was a moving sight to see it all, sometimes people really do care and show it! Quite the beginning to an otherwise normal Wednesday. Sarah |

Phew! It was a joke! And here's a new one my dad sent me yesterday. If you know anything about Ely and Minnesota you should find this hilarious. Sarah |

There is a rumor that Courtney Love and the remainder of Nirvana (Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic) will be putting together a reunion tour! With Courtney singing in place of Kurt! I really hope this is an April Fools joke, otherwise its just a terrible sacrilege. Terrible. And caramel pudding is amazing. Sarah |

To that one guy I saw on campus... just because you are skinny enough to belt your jeans at your ribs does not mean that you should! Isn't that uncomfortable? Ankles cold maybe? 6 weeks of school, 6 weeks of school, hi ho the dairy oh, six weeks of school! Sarah |
